About Do Something Green
Do Something Green is an action–oriented, community campaign that advances sustainability in a simple and personal way. A non–political grassroots movement, Do Something Green is a catalyst for inspiring and encouraging green action in the Louisville community. A results–driven campaign, Do Something Green seeks to empower people to take action in their own lives to benefit our environment. Do Something Green is all about ACTION, all about FUN and all about YOU! At home, school, work or play everyone can pledge to DO SOMETHING GREEN and make a real difference in every day life.
What began as a Bingham Fellow’s initiative has grown into an ongoing community campaign involving volunteers, schools and corporate partners. Our goal: motivate people to take action and make a difference to green the city of Louisville and all of Kentucky. Our Impact: a community culture of collective action resulting in measurable change to our communities.

About the Bingham Fellows
The Bingham Fellows program is the advanced leadership program of the Leadership Louisville Center, the region’s leading leadership development and civic engagement organization. It was created in 1988 through a $500,000 endowment from the Mary and Barry Bingham Sr. Fund. The participants are social entrepreneurs that have both a vision and the ability to assemble the resources required to implement that vision to address obvious social needs. Over 20 years, the Bingham Fellows have had an impressive track record of providing emerging issues with visibility and momentum. The work of the Bingham Fellows has resulted in the creation of The Housing Partnership, the growth of local farmers’ markets, the construction of the Presbyterian Community Center in Smoketown, formation of the Regional Leadership Coalition and now, the Do Something Green campaign.
